Women’s Summer Bible Study

REVELATION: Preparing for the Bridegroom

Join us for this 8-week small group study, meeting in homes. It’s important with all that’s going on in the world to keep our eyes on Jesus and prepare for the coming of our Bridegroom!

Found Faithful June Series

This 4-week sermon series by Pastor Daniel is called “Found Faithful” taken from 1 Corinthians 4:2. This series will start the weekend of June 8/9 and finish up on the weekend of June 29/30

We will be going to Sky Zone in San Marcos and eating at In-N-Out for dinner. The rest of the time we will be on campus at Maranatha Chapel with games, art, and so much more! This event is only open to the current 5th, 6th, and 7th graders.

No 8th graders allowed.

Jesus In The Passover Class

We’re excited to offer our 2nd annual “Jesus in the Passover” class taught by Dr. Brian Crawford from Chosen People Ministries, and our own Maranatha pastors.  Join us as we study the living Word and see how Jesus Christ has fulfilled, and will further fulfill, this most wonderful, God-instituted feast, the Passover.  This four-week course begins Thursday, March 28.  Celebrate Passover like never before. 

Imagine being one the disciples on the road to Emmaus as Jesus, the Word made flesh, in Whom are all treasures of wisdom and knowledge, began unveiling everything in the Old Testament pointing to Himself!  Can you imagine!?  We know that shortly after this event, Jesus opened the rest of the disciples’ minds to understand the Scriptures.  But what about us?  Well, after Jesus ascended to heaven, the Father sent the Holy Spirit to teach us all things and to remind us of those things which Jesus said (John 14:26).  This is what our annual "Christ in the Feasts" series is all about, and Passover is right around the corner!  Come join us as we study the living Word and see how Jesus Christ has fulfilled, and will further fulfill, this most wonderful, God-instituted feast, the Passover.  We'll cover how the Jews celebrated the Passover during the time of Moses, the time of Jesus, and throughout history as described in ancient rabbinical writings.  Let's dig into the Word together and allow the Holy Spirit to show us how all of God's revelation points to His Son, Jesus Christ, the Messiah.  This will be a four-week course leading up to Passover, beginning Thursday, March 28th.  Celebrate Passover like never before.

Biblical Hebrew Course

Watch the Word of God come alive by learning the Hebrew AlefBet, letter by letter, and experience the “living and active” Word, all within the context of the creation story in Genesis! This is a 7 week course (via ZOOM) with Lida Hill takes place on Mondays from 6:30 to 8:00pm from March 18 to April 29.

Fire in Our bones is a conference being hosted at Maranatha Chapel this coming February 28 through March 1 and is being put on by World Challenge. This will be a 3 day, all day event for spiritual leaders focusing on the spiritual awakening we desire for our country. The conference speakers will include Francis Chan, our very own Daniel Bentley, and Gary Wilkerson (President of World Challenge) with great worship!

The Three day registration cost is $69.00 USD

In lieu of Wednesday night service we will have guest speaker Francis Chan. If you would like to attend you can register for this service for free below.

United is a 9-week marriage class for those who have a good marriage but want to make it better. It would also be good for those who are engaged to be married.

Join our facilitators Michael and Monica Hill as they help couples improve communication, deal with conflict, and get the most out of their marriage. Because of the content of United we would not encourage a marriage in crisis to participate.

Class begins Friday, February 16th, 2024, from 6:30pm to 9:00pm followed by 8 consecutive Friday nights at the same time.

Cost: $120 per couple, covers all class materials It is necessary to register online; Space is limited to 14 couples. PLEASE NOTE - CHILDCARE IS NOT AVAILABLE. This class will be held in Jacob’s Well (formerly known as the bookstore)

Our 40 days Days of Prayer and Fasting are from Tuesday February 13 to Saturday March 23

As you participate in the 40-Day Fast, please use this daily journal to discover what an encounter with God means. The Bible is full of stories of individuals who had life-changing encounters with God—encounters that transformed lives and impacted human history. As you reflect on the daily verse, we encourage you to look up the verse and read the story in context. These divine encounters happened to a variety of people – some believers and some not—in a variety of places.  We pray that during this fast, you will experience a divine encounter with God that will change your life!

Please Note: Fasting is an individual, personal time between you and the Lord.  Choose the fast best for you.  While fasting means abstaining from food for most people, it can also be abstaining from something else to give you deeper time in prayer and fellowship with the Lord. Not everyone can fast from food, but if you give up something to focus on the Lord, that will be a meaningful fast.

A Strong Cord

A Strong Cord is a 4-week series for young couples who have been married 7 years or less. We will meet every other week beginning Wednesday, February 7 at 7:00pm in Jacob’s Well (old bookstore). Each session is interactive including video, discussion groups and fellowship. Join leaders Craig and Cheryl Bartels and learn to build a strong relationship by following God’s blueprint.

Face to Face Prayer Encounter

Join with us February 6,7 and 8 at 6:30-8:30pm for Face-to Face, 3 night prayer encounter!

Each night will be filled with a time of worship, a brief teaching from Pastor Daniel, and space to practice what was taught, prayer! If you desire a more powerful prayer life, we invite you out to encounter the face of God through prayer!

We can’t wait to see how God moves these nights!

GROWTH GROUPS LEADER TRAINING

Is God calling you to lead a small group? Do you already have a small group, but would like a refresher on how to revitalize your group? Join us for a 4 week Leader Training!

This is a practical, interactive series that includes

- Core leadership skills

-Learning how to deal with difficult people

-Learning to facilitate a sermon based Bible study

-Setting up for a successful small group and using our InFellowship system.

All materials provided at no charge. Simply bring your Bible

This series will run on Mondays from February 5 - March 4 from 6:30pm - 8:30pm

DIVORCE CARE WORKSHOP

Divorce Care is a Bible-based 13-week course providing support to those who have experienced separation or divorce. Each meeting represents an opportunity to acquire new tools and better understanding to help cope with these difficult circumstances. Divorce Care will meet on Wednesday evenings beginning August 2 at 7:00 PM in Room C-210.

COST: $20 for course materials.
